Introduction to Teaching Yoga for Teens

This course is an introduction to teaching yoga to children aged 11 - 16 years. It covers emotional and physical health of tween and teens and includes activities such as restorative yoga and yoga nidra that are so important for this age group. If you teach tweens and teens and would like to have more information about the particular challenges of this age group and tools needed to support them through yoga - this course is for you!
Your Instructor
This Teacher Training course is taught by experienced yoga teachers Emma Charvet and Siobhan Power. Emma is a Senior Yoga Teacher and accredited Trainer with Yoga Alliance Professionals. She has spent the last 10 years teaching Yoga and Mindfulness to children and families in schools and studios in the UK and specialises in providing yoga therapy for children and teens with special needs.
Siobhan Power has 10 years experience of childcare and coaching, studied at the Himalayan Yoga Institute and has taught yoga to hundreds of children and families in UK and South Africa.
Emma and Siobhan regularly teach popular yoga classes for adults, families and children. They also run online and in person Yoga Teacher Training via the Children's Yoga Tree Training School, accredited by Yoga Alliance Professionals. Together they are committed to creating more opportunities for children and families worldwide to experience yoga and mindfulness with the goal of improving children's mental and physical well-being.
